Radio Feature: Evening WURDs

I had the pleasure of joining Dr. James Peterson on Evening WURDs to discuss my new book, Failure to Treat: How a Broken Healthcare System Puts Patients and Practitioners at Risk.

It was a deeply thoughtful conversation about the challenges facing American healthcare today — challenges that affect not just doctors and nurses, but every patient who enters the system. We spoke about the pressures physicians face, the consequences of profit-driven models, and the ways we can begin to restore humanity and integrity to patient care.

Over the course of my career as a cardiologist, researcher, and educator, I’ve seen both the triumphs and the failures of our healthcare system up close. Failure to Treat was born from that experience - a call to action for patients, policymakers, and healthcare professionals alike to acknowledge what’s broken and work together toward meaningful reform.
